About this site (and me)

A vintage TV with flowers around the CRT screen with the words “faith2fleurs! by alice f.z.” printed on the screen.

hi! My name is alice f.z. and faith2fleurs is my blog. I’m a poet, podcaster, occasional UU lay preacher and formally trained as a medievalist and literary scholar. After community college, I received a BA from UC Los Angeles in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing (genre: poetry), an MA from UC Santa Barbara in English Literature where I am currently a PhD candidate.

But I hope here you can see a holistic side of me and my interests: where my academic interests intersect with whimsical ones. I have some reviews, translations, and weird hybrid essays up on this site so far. You may also see me promote some of my other collaborative ventures, like a podcast I run with two other grad students called Cunterbury and a musical duo called ladypoverty where I play bass and sing.
